Ralph Land, CBE

Ralph Land chaired the UNICE Task Force on Enlargement in Brussels until recently. He is a member of the International Strategy Board of ICL, chairman of the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce, and of the British-Romanian Chamber of Commerce. Having previously been responsible for the East European operations of ICL, Rank Xerox and Rolls Royce, Mr Land now serves on a number of advisory boards including American Phoenix Life and Reinsurance, the British Know-How Fund, and the East European Trade Council. He is a consultant on business with Central and Eastern Europe and frequent commentator on radio and TV for these regions.He was awarded an OBE in 1986 and a CBE in 1996 for services to Exports and is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a member of the British Computer Society.
